Well hello there, readers! I hope you all had a happy Valentine's Day - what ever that means for your and your kiddos! This was a first for us with our 3-year-old at home, and though I'm not sure she really understood the whole idea, she definitely got that it was a fun day all about giving love to the people who are important to you. Very cute. I opted not to even try to involve her in the choosing of Valentine cards, because....well, we struggle to choose apple sauce flavors on a daily basis, so colorful cards and accessories seemed like a disaster waiting to happen. It was also a first for me, as the person who got to fill out and sticker all those Valentine cards. Wow - new respect for my own mom, who got to experience that joy for three of us for many many years!

And so now, here we all are, zipping on through February and on to the next big thing. Can you believe we're already half way through the month?? I'm not sure I can! This weekend marks the start of the Rutland Winterfest, which is packed FULL of fun (a lot of it FREE!) for the whole family. Books, sledding, skating, games - its all there. And perfect timing too, since next week is also Winter Recess for many of the local schools. I'm sure you'll be taking lots of photos throughout the week, so please share on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/Macaroni-Kid-South-Central-VT-2190574511157630/! Share the merriment, tag your friends, and invite them to the page!
