If you weren't sure before, take a look at the nearest thermometer - warmer days are on their way! With temperatures in the high 40's (dare I suggest we might get all the way up to 50??), we are nowhere near the record low of -5. Thank goodness! I don't know about you, but as much as I do love winter, I'm ready to say good-bye to those days below zero and put the heavy winter gear away for awhile.
Of course, it isn't all good news. Warmer, yes! Sunny, no. We're in for a rainy little weekend as we say good-bye to March, which is awesome news for some and not so fun for others. Ask my 3-year-old, and a rainy day is just as good as a sunny one. Rainy days mean puddles. And puddles mean rain boots! I genuinely have to stop myself from yucking her yum, because to me, all that puddle splashing inevitably leads to just as much puddle inside the boots as outside of them. But if you can't enjoy sloshing around in sopping wet boots when you're three, when can you?! Now that she's discovered Mommy's fancy new rain boots though, I may not be able to avoid staying out of the danger zone. Oh joy!
So enjoy these rainy days a bit if you can. Whether it means a productive spring cleaning, a cozy day indoors, or some wet rain boots of your own, make the most of this change in the weather!
