Publisher's Note {4.26.19}

The flowers are blooming and the leaves are sprouting, which means its finally time to put away the heavy coats and boots in favor of a lighter wardrobe. If you're a parent, you know this also means discovering that at least half the clothes in your kid's closet don't fit anymore. And by extension, its time to replenish the wardrobe (aka: time to spend all your money again). This may sound awful. It may even be met with eye-rolls, cold sweats, heavy sighs, and even the occasional four-letter-word (its OK, I won't tell). Consignment Sales to the rescue! Keep your eyes peeled for second-hand-clothing events, clothes-swaps, and tag sales.

Beyond wardrobe replenishment If they aren't closed already, the ski resorts are having their last hurrah's, and the sticks are being traded in for wheels.

With Spring Break behind us, families are looking ahead at summer plans. Start checking schedules for local summer camps, swim lessons, school closures, and think about those vacation plans now.

If you have dreams of home repairs or renovations this year, start lining up your contractors before their schedules get too full.

And though many of you have already started, this is great weather for starting your gardens and helping your kids learn about how food is grown and made.

Enjoy these warm days and sunshine - I know I am! And as always, share Macaroni Kid with your family and friends. Have an event you'd like to see on the calendar? Let me know about it!
